anyone?
For this graph:
ImageShack - Hosting :: graphny5.png
I need to match some terms with the letters on that graph, this is what I have:
delta y = F
Tangent Line = E
Error of linear approximation = C
f'(x)dx = A
Increment of x = D
dy-delta y = B
but it's not correct, can anyone tell me what is wrong? I was almost positive that is correct
Thanks!
I can find neither "F" nor "E" on the graph! It looks to me like delta y is "A" and the tangent line is labeled "r".
C simply appears to be a label for the graph itself, not an error quantity. The error is the difference (vertical distance) between a point on the graph and a point on the straight line. That's "B".Error of linear approximation = C
Yes, that is correct.f'(x)dx = A
Increment of x = D
dy-delta y = B
but it's not correct, can anyone tell me what is wrong? I was almost positive that is correct
Thanks!
