1. ## [SOLVED] Solving System of Equations

Question #1:
Solve the following system of equations using the elimination method.

3x - 9y =10 (1)
4x + y = 7 (2)

...
Question #2:
Solve the following system of equations.
x + 3t =1
4x + 15t = 2

Any help or comments towards solving these would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Question #2:
Solve the following system of equations.
x + 3t =1
4x + 15t = 2

Mr F says: Multiply equation (1) by -4 and add the result to equation (2).

Any help or comments towards solving these would be greatly appreciated.

3. For Equation #1,
I came up with this answer..

(2) x 9 36x = 63 (3)

(3) + (1)

39x/39 = 73/39

x= 1.87? Does this make sense? Or did I miss a step?

You should stay with the exact answer of x = 73/39. Now you have to get the value of y.
