    Partly Conceptual

    What is \int x^x

And if it is a non integrable function then what is the reason behind it?

note x^x = (e^ln(x))^x = e^(xln(x)). This function isn't integrable. The proof goes similar to the proof that e^(x) isn't integable which is probably in your textbook.
