    Diff EQ check

    Hi all,

I'm wondering if someone could see if I did this diff eq correctly:

    dv/dt = A - Bv

    1. dv/dt + Bv = A

    2. Then I used an integrating factor to come up with:

    d/dt(v * exp(Bt)) = A*exp(Bt)

    3. v*exp(Bt) = AB*exp(Bt)

    4. v = AB

    Is this correct? Thanks,

    Kim

you did not integrate the right side correctly ... you also forgot the constant of integration

    $\displaystyle ve^{Bt} = \frac{A}{B}e^{Bt} + C$

    $\displaystyle v = \frac{A}{B} + Ce^{-Bt}$
