    How to differentiate 2-cosx?

    Is dy/dx= sin x??

    Yes it's correct.

    If y = 2 - \cos{x}, then

    \frac{dy}{dx} = \frac{d}{dx}(2) - \frac{d}{dx}(\cos{x})

    = 0 - (-\sin{x})

    = \sin{x}.
