    stuck on this intergration

    (integral) cotx = ln sinx +c


    how the heck!??!

    It's actually quite simple.

    Let \frac{cos(x)}{sin(x)}=cot(x)

    \int \frac{cos(x)}{sin(x)}dx

    Now, let u=sin(x), du=cos(x).

    Then we get:

    \int \frac{1}{u}du=ln(u)

    Resub:

    ln(sin(x))
