    how to integrate this..

    Hello,
    How do we integrate
    1/1+(x^4)

    This can be done by partial fractions decompositions. Notice that:
    x^4 + 1 = x^4 + 2x^2 + 1 - 2x^2 = (x^2+1)^2 - (\sqrt{2}x)^2
    Which is a difference between two squares.

    Can you do it now?
