    Directional Derivatives

    Consider a function f(x,y) at the point (5,6). At that point the function has direction derivatives: 3/(72^.5) in the direction parallel to (6,6), and 6/(74^.5) in the direction parallel to (5,7). The gradient of f at the point (5,6) is ?
