the questions arent making sense to me.. can someone help me understand what the answers for these are thanks alot!

I don't know where the motion detector is located, but the cart is moving forwards at all times between B-E. It is increasing in velocity from B to C, and it is decreasing in velocity from D to E. You can read this straight off the graph.

This all depends on where the motion detector is located. If the motion detector is behind the cart, then the cart is moving towards the motion detector at the times you describe, though it is slowing down from A to B and speeding up from E to F. If the motion detector is in front of the cart, then the cart is moving towards the motion detector from B to E. It is speeding up from B to C and slowing down from D to E.
