Thread: Application Problem Help

I have been doing a great job so far this semester getting problems done but I am still having problems with application problems and am just looking guidance on how to work this problem. Through use of physics I am able to determine the rate's or acceleration and the time in which they land, but this being calculus I need to use it (calculus) to find the answers to the problems on the attachment.


If this helps any here are some numbers of what I have

Plane A, deceleration is 625 MPH landing time of 4.8 minutes.
Plane B, deceleration is 1449.26 MPH landing time of 5.58904 minutes.

I have the same problem. What physics formulas did you use?
