    Third order euler cauchy

    How do you find a general solution to a third order euler cauchy equation?

    I am at 0=(X^a)(x-1)^3, but I am stuck.

    You start off by assuming a trial solution of the form y = x^m.

    Post the equation your working on because there are several different cases depending on the values of m that you get ......
