    ≡ Sign

    I just need to know what this sign means:

    If the symbol didn't show up, it is the three horizontal lines like the equal sign, but with 3 instead of 2 lines.

    I'm studying Calculus by myself over the summer I need some help. :P

    It can mean a few things

    congruent

    like

    x^2\equiv{1}\mod p

    Or it can mean defined

    \text{Let }f(x)\equiv{x}
