What is the intersection of the plane 2y+1=0 with each of the coordinate planes?
The coordinate planes are the xz plane, the xy plane and the yz plane....

The equation of the plane can be re-written y = -1/2. It doesn't intersect the xz-plane, it intersects the zy- and xy-planes in the line y = -1/2.
