    minimum

    hi, this is my first post here
    so could you help me with this please

    for the curve y = f(x)where x > 0 , dy/dx = 6 - 24/x^2
    if the minimum turning value of the function is 20, find f(x)

    so far I've integrated dy/dx to get y = 6x +24/x
    assuming I have this part correct, what do I do with the minimum turning point at 20?

    First of all, y = 6x + 24/x + C

    now the minimum turning point is (?,20), this occurs when dy/dx = 0. solve for the x's that make this happen. test which is minimum. that will be your "?". then plug in the x and y values and solve for C
