Trapezoid Rule
I'm having a little trouble with this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
a) Use the trapezoid rule with n = 4 to approximate
$\displaystyle \int_{0}^{1} {{\sqrt{1+e^{(x)}}}dx}
$
b) Do the same using Simpson's rule with n =4
c) indicate how much more accurate you would expect the results to be if you used n =40 in each case
for a) i got the answer to be similar to 1.27663
and for b, i got the answer to be similar to 1.27561
