    ricatti or bernoulli

a ricatti is a non linear DE and bernouli linear but is there any difference in the way you solve them,if so what?

Try reading this : Riccati Equation

The process of solving a Ricatti equation is a bit different, due to substitutions that need to be made in order to make it a 2nd order linear DE. However, when solving a Bernoulli's Equation, you make the substitution v=y^{n-1} \implies y=v^{\frac{1}{n-1}}, which makes the DE linear as well. I believe the Bernoulli's equation is easier to solve.
