    Derivative

    Dear forum members,

    I have a following function I need to find the derivative of

    \frac{3}{vsinx}+2v-\frac{3}{3vtanx}

    the v stands for velocity. So does this constant v disappear when I derivate or do I derivate it like a "normal" x-variable?

    Thank you in advance!

    If v is indeed a constant in regard to x, then ...

    Remember that the derivative of a*f(x), where a is a constant is a*f'(x)

    It's like factorising (not eliminating) a and calculating the isolated function of x.
