I don't if this is really for a calculus class.. but do you know that the volume of a Sphere is given by $V = \frac{4}{3} \, \pi r^3$ and therefore you can repalace $r$ with $x$?

The surface area is given by $S = \frac{dV}{dx} = 4 \pi x^2$ Ü
