I want to make P the subject of the equation. I tried but i couldnt.

It can't be done algebraically without using the Lambert W-function. If you ultimately want to get a numerical value of p for given values of F and alpha, I'd suggest using a numerical to get the answer to a desired accuracy.

thanks a lot, i really do have numericals for alpha, F & n but still couldnot find p.
F= 0.66
n = 16.8ln2
alpha = 1.32
Maybe now someone can give me a value for p?

You might want to substitute the following solution and check it works since I'm well known for being careless:

p = 0.01255327 (correct to 8 decimal places)
