    Continuous functions

    Given f and g are both continuous functions, show that max{f,g} and min{f,g} are also continuous.

    Hi

    Hint : \max(f,g)=\frac{f+g+|f-g|}{2} and \min(f,g)=\frac{f+g-|f-g|}{2}
