we start by differentiating $\displaystyle C$ with respect to $\displaystyle x$:

$\displaystyle \frac{dC}{dx} = \frac{d}{dx}\left[\frac{R^2}{182000} + 8033 \right]=\frac{R}{91000}\frac{dR}{dx}$
