$\displaystyle (2e^6-\ln(|2|))-(2e-\ln(|1|))$ ? If so:

1. Expand the brackets.

2. Keep in mind that $\displaystyle \ln(1) = 0$

3. You'll get: $\displaystyle 2e^6-\ln(|2|)-2e = 2e(e^5-1)-\ln(|2|)$

B) Do you mean:

$\displaystyle (2e^{6-\ln(|2|)})-(2e^{-\ln(|1|)})$ ? If so:

1. Expand the brackets. $\displaystyle \ln(1) = 0$ and $\displaystyle e^0 = 1$

2. You'll get: $\displaystyle \frac22 e^6 -2 = e^6-2$
