Area of a Sector
Those lines in the circle are both radius'. The radius is 3. I'm supposed to find the area of the sector. How do I solve this?
Is the answer:
a. $\displaystyle 3\pi$
b. $\displaystyle \frac{9\pi}{4}$
c. $\displaystyle \frac{3\pi}{4}$
d. $\displaystyle 9\pi$

The area of the sector is given by:
A = (pi*rē) x (θ/360)
r is the radius
θ is the angle of the sector you are trying to find the area of (in your case, it would be 90 degrees)

A = (pi*9) x (90/360)
A = (pi*9) x (1/4)
A = 9pi / 4
