    Two Calculus Word Problems

    1) A ferris wheel 30 meters high turns at a uniform rate of 2.2 revolutions/min. How far above the bottom of the ferris wheel is a passenger when his or her height is changing at a rate of 2 m/sec?

    2) Clyde and CeCe leave their house at the same time with straight paths as shown. If Clyde is walking at a rate of 2 ft/second and CeCe is walking at a rate of 2.3 ft/second, how is the distance between them changing when they are 100 feet apart?

The diameter is 30m. The equation for the circumference of a circle is \pi d. They are traveling that distance 2.2 times every minute. Find the velocity. Preferably in m/s.

Can you solve it from there?
