    Local Linearization Problem

    Hey all, got a local linearization problem that I'm very much stuck on. I've read the chapter in the book over and over but still cannot grasp what I have to do with this type of problem. The problem is this:

    If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

    Local linearization, would that be the derivative?

    If so, f(x)=e^{x^2}

    f'(x)=e^{x^2}2x

    f'(3)=6e^{9}
