    simpson's rule

    Quick question,

I have time in 30 minute intervals such as 10:30,11:00,11:30, etc.
I also have power in megawatts such as 2000 at 10:30, 2002 at 11:00, and so on and so forth..

What (delta t) am i suppose to multiply 1/3 by. I was thinking 1/2 divided by N because its in 30 minute intervals but not sure.

note: N is a number i know already.

It depends on what units of energy you want the answer to be in. dt=1/2
will give megaWatt hours, dt=30 will give megaJoules
