    variational derivative of quadratic functional

Calculate the variational derivative at the point y0 of the quadratic functional J(y) = integ(a->b) integ(a->b) [k(s,t)y(s)y(t) dsdt]

how do i do this??? it was on a past test
a starting point or any help would be great
