    U-Substitution and Definite Integrals

    Evaluate the definite integral.

    [-1, 1] x(x^2+1)^3 dx

    [1, 9] 1/(sqrtx(1+sqrtx)^2)
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    make the substitution u = x^2 + 1

    [1, 9] 1/(sqrtx(1+sqrtx)^2)
    make the substitution u = 1 + \sqrt{x}
