    Parametric Equation

    I tried to get an answer in the urgent homework section, hopefully someone here can help, thanks.
    Eliminate the parameter, x = cos^2t + 3sin^2t, y = sin^2t - 4cos^2t Knowing that sin^2t + cos^2t = 1 how is this solved?
