    Transfer function with Z transform

    Hello,

I am working on a few example in the Digital Signal Processing field. But I fail to be able to transfer the example below.

    Now I do understand how they came to the w[n] = ... but I can't come to the z / (z^2 + 3).

Any insight / help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Re: Transfer function with Z transform

Ahh, it seems I did something stupid. I should just have done:

    w z^0 = xz^-1 -3 wz^-2
    w ( 1 + 3z^-2) = xz^-2

    w/x = z^-1 / (1 + 3z^-2)

    multiply by z^2 / z^2

    gives
    w/x = z / (z^2 + 3)
