    Please Help

Use the short cut rules to find the derivative of each of te following fucntions:

    a) f(x) =4x+1

    b) g(x)=8x^3-5x^2+3x+1

    c) f(x)= 2 square root x +1/5x^5

Multiply the power of the variable by the coefficient and reduce the power of the variable by 1.

    a) f'(x)=4

    b) g'(x)=24x^2-10x+3

    c) I'm not sure what you're saying the function is. But if you have a root, such as \sqrt{x}, you can rewrite it as x^{\frac{1}{2}} and then use the power rule, giving you \frac{1}{2}x^{-\frac{1}{2}.
