Please can anyone help me, i am trying to finish a maths paper for work and i am struggling! I need to know the following: A square wave has a period of 0.4 second. What gives the frequency in hertz (Hz) of the fundamental component of the associated Fourier Series.

The fundamental should be the same as that of the square wave, that is:

$f=1/\tau=1/0.4=2.5 \text{Hz}$
