    Multivariable Functions

Is there any method for sketching multivariate functions such as:
    F(x,y) = e^-(x+y)

Or any other 3D function for that matter? Or is each case a seperate one to which a piece of theory must be studied?

    Thanks.

Any decent math program should be able to do simple examples like the one you have supplied. Other than that, if you really want a good image, you must be a really good artist. Artistry is not particularly required for rough sketches, cross sections, and various planar projections.
