    Differentiation

    could do with some help please

    find stationary points y= 2√x - x

    If stationary points are critical points, then all you need to do is solve f'(x)=0 for x.

    As colby2152 says, take the first derivative
    y^{\prime} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{x}} - 1

    and set it to 0:
    \frac{1}{\sqrt{x}} - 1 = 0 <-- Multiply both sides by \sqrt{x}

    1 - \sqrt{x} = 0

    You should be able to take it from here.
