Do you know what "parametric equation form" means? There are an infinite number of such forms, depending upon how you choose the parameter. But, when y is a function of x, the simplest thing to do is to take x itself as parameter.

Ok. Well, y = t and x = t^2 - 6t + 11 is the book's answer. Why does y = t? Why can't
x = t and y = t^2 - 6t + 11?
