This is important to understand. Many times you can just substitute the value of the variable into the function to find what the limit is. However, there are cases where you cannot do that. Meaning they will lead to incorrect results. In these problems these is no error by simply substituting the value. The name of these class of functions is "countinous" (at that point)-meaning finding its limit at that point is equivalent as evaluating the function at that point.
