    related rates

    This question has me stumped. I'm not sure really how to connect the two, and so I pretty much can't see where to get started.

    The minute hand on a watch is 8mm long.
    The hour hand is 4mm long.
    How fast is the distance between the tips of the hands changing at 1:00?
