# Math Help - Help with integrals and Riemanns sum

1. ## Help with integrals and Riemanns sum

Can anyone explain these two problems to me?
Edit: So I figured out how to do number 4, you just differentiate the second equation to show that it is equal to the first. So I'm good on number 4.

2. ## Re: Help with integrals and Riemanns sum

Well if the sum is a Riemann Sum, it is the same as a particular definite integral. What function do you think is being integrated?

3. ## Re: Help with integrals and Riemanns sum

so we're integrating sin(x) from 0 to pi/2? Is that what it means by evaluating the limit? so -cos(pi/2) - -cos (0)?

4. ## Re: Help with integrals and Riemanns sum

Yes, that is correct.
