$\int_{-3}^{-4.5} ( 6f(x) - 8 )~dx = \int_{-3}^{-4.5} 6f(x)~dx + \int_{-3}^{-4.5}(- 8 )~dx$

$= 6 \int_{-3}^{-4.5} f(x)~dx - \int_{-3}^{-4.5} 8 ~dx$

Can you finish this?

3. I still can't find the right answer, I would think it to be 42.

$= 6 \int_{-3}^{-4.5} f(x)~dx - \int_{-3}^{-4.5} 8 ~dx$

$= 6 \cdot -(-7) - 8 \int_{-3}^{-4.5} dx$

$= 6 \cdot -(-7) - (-36 - -24)$

$= 42 - -12 = 54$
