I know with related rate problems the formula you use depends on the problem, but are there some common forumals you need to know?

Pythagoras' theorem

area of a triangle, there are several formulas for this, know them all

volume of a cuboid, sphere and cone

surface area of a cuboid, sphere and cone

sine rule

cosine rule

circumference of a circle

area of a sector

be familiar with the concepts of similar triangles, and the different kinds of angles there are


those are the more common ones
