    Derivative help please!

    Please help with this derivative problem that I attached. I've worked it out around twenty times and I keep getting an answer that is not one of the options.

    Thanks in advanced!

    Your file is giving me a warning flag. Please either try to repost it or type in the problem manually.

    Re: Derivative help please!

    Thanks for letting me know. Don't know why it is doing that, it's just a regular pdf file.
    Anyway, here is the problem:

    r=(sec theta + tan theta)^-6

    The answer I got is:

    -6(sec theta + tan theta)^-7(sec theta tan theta + sec^2 theta)

    If anyone could confirm that this answer is correct, that would be helpful.

    Thanks again

    It looks good to me. You might want to visit our LaTeX Help Forum. It looks difficult, but once you get the basics it's actually rather easy.
