    optimization - Find an expression for the intensity I(x) at the point P.

    Hi guys i have attempted this question and got part a) wrong. I think the answers right and not sure what to change. Can someone please explain how the expression should look. Please look at the attachment for question.

    I think the intensity is related to the the inverse of the square of the distance between the light and P, not just the inverse of the distance.
