    Finding center of Mass problem

I'm asked to find the solution to the following statement:

    Finding center of Mass problem-question.gif

So, the density function that I set up was as follows:
    Finding center of Mass problem-density-function.gif

Then I set up my integrals so:

After I computed them, I got the following:

I don't understand what I did wrong, bu I'm still achingly close to the book's answer. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Giestforlife.

Hint: It wants the square distance from the y-axis which means it will x^2 since the perpendicular distance from the y-axis is the distance from the line x = 0. So your density function should be x^2 instead of y^2.

Try that and see how you go.
    Thanks from Giestforlife

Thanks! I figured it would be something minor like that, but my mind never went there.
