# Thread: use formal definition for formal proof (limits)

1. ## use formal definition for formal proof (limits)

Use an appropriate formal definition to give a formal proof of each of the following.

(a) lim (x3− 5x+6) = 2
x→1

(b) lim 9-4x2 = 6
x→ −1.5 3+2x

(c) lim 1 = ∞
x→ −3 (x+3)4

(d) lim lnx = - ∞
x→0+

i've uploaded an attachment with the question in a better, more understandable format
