Finding the absolute maximum and minimum of a function on a closed region

The question posed is: Find the absolute maximum and minimum of
Finding the absolute maximum and minimum of a function on a closed region-codecogseqn.gif
on the closed region bounded by the lines
Finding the absolute maximum and minimum of a function on a closed region-codecogseqn-1-.gif
    .

I know how to use the Lagrange multiplier method, but I'm stumped on this one. Even a nudge in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Giest.

    EDIT:

It seems that I forgot how to do basic calculus for a short while. I figured it out--eventually.
