Finding the absolute maximum and minimum of a function on a closed region
The question posed is: Find the absolute maximum and minimum of Attachment 27496 on the closed region bounded by the lines Attachment 27497.

I know how to use the Lagrange multiplier method, but I'm stumped on this one. Even a nudge in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

It seems that I forgot how to do basic calculus for a short while. I figured it out--eventually.
