    Help with dynamics- oscillations

    If the mass of a particle is 2, and x>0.

    1.What would the total energy be if the particle was released at x+4?
    2. What would the particle's velocity be at x=3?
    3.Where is the maximum velocity?
    4. What is the period of the motion using:


    This question has been giving me sleepless nights but no matter what i try i don't seem to get anything like a reasonable answer.
