I need help with this question that I keep getting the wrong answer!
Given m(x) = 15x-2 and nm(x) = 1 / 5x, x is not equal to 0, find the function of n.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
MathJack is assuming "nm" is the product of the functions, but your title says "composition" which should be n(m(x)).
If m(x) = 15x-2 and n(m(x)) = 1 / 5x, let m(x)= y= 5x- 2 so that x= (y+2)/5. Then n(m(x))= n(y)= 1/5x= (1/5)(5/(y+2)= 1/(y+2)
