    Differentiating simple fractions

Now we got all these nifty shortcuts to differentiate various things such as x^n but what about \frac{x}{n} or \frac{n}{x}? Are there any shortcuts to that or do I have to go through the whole process of differentiating it? Thanks.

    Re: Differentiating simple fractions

    Hey Paze.

Recall that d/dx(a*x^n) = a*d/dx(x^n) where is a constant (or independent of x) and those are just special cases of this rule.
