    Finding the absolute min and max question

    How did they get x to equal to 0.567143???? that's my only question. I know that that's the critical point but idk how they got it. I remember my teacher using a calculator to find this.

    That is an approximation for the true root, which can be expressed using the Lambert-W function.

    To get a decimal approximation, you could use a numeric root-finding technique such as Newton's method.
